Enjoying Disney at Home – 5 Fun Finds

Whether you’re planning a trip to the Disney Parks or are just a fan of all things Disney, we’ve got some fun (and free) items for you this week!

Disney Park Maps

Did you know that you can order a set of free customized park maps?!  These are very unique, great for planning a visit to the park or to use as a way to remember a recent visit.

You can order free maps for all the Walt Disney World Parks – Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom — once every 6 months.  We used our set to schedule our ‘must see’ attractions during our last visit.  They also make nice gifts if you’re going to surprise the kids or want a keepsake for your scrapbook.

Disney Movie Fun

We are huge Disney movie fans 🙂 and are always looking forward to the newest films coming to theaters.  Disney is wonderful at creating trailers and websites to feature their new movies and get the kids all excited.

Disney’s New & Upcoming Movies features trailers and details for Monsters University, Iron Man 3, The Lone Ranger and Planes.

If you’re interested in what’s coming out in the long-term, check out the Disney Movies Guide which highlights future movies both in production and rumored to be coming.  The site lists Toy Story 4 as coming in 2015 along with a few other surprises!

And if you’re crazy about animals, you’ll love the Disneynature site which highlights all the nature and animal films.

If you are planning a visit to the parks, make sure to read our 23 Must See Movies Before Your WDW Visit!

Disney Printables

How about creating some paperdoll Princess or Star Wars spaceships from paper?  You can find more than 50 free printables at Disneyfamily.com — Winnie the Pooh, Toy Story, Cars, The Muppets and many more!

They also have quite a few printables, coloring pages and puzzles available for kids too.

Free Disney Apps

Kids will love these fun games & app activities!  Some are very Disney and include characters from Disney Jr. or Disney Movies.  Others – the the Hidden Objects app – are very ‘un-Disney’ but very creative!

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Road Rally

Jake & the Neverland Pirate School

Disneyland Explorer

Hidden Objects: Gardens of Time

Great Music

If you’ve ever had the chance to visit a Disney park, you’ll know there’s something about the music.  It’s piped in to all the parks and resorts and includes classical songs along with some memorable tunes.

You can find some great free Disney music online!

Try Live 365’s MouseWorld Radio

Sorcerer Radio also has some great music with a daily guide so you know what’s playing.

Also check out the Disney channel on YouTube – there’s a huge selection of music from the movies, Disney Jr, the Parks, Radio Disney and more!

And for some vintage Disney classics, visit Kiddie Records for classic kids stories and songs from records!  You can hear some of the original recordings of Lady & the Tramp, Peter Pan, Cinderella, Winnie the Pooh and many others on this great website!

And if you are planning on a visit to the Disney Parks sometime in the near future, you can order a free Disney travel DVD to preview before your trip!
