Jacquie Fisher

Jacquie is the founder & owner of Edventures with Kids, a site that shares unique kid’s activities, fun ways to learn and inspriation for family travel.  She is an experienced educator, with both a Masters in Education and an MPH degree and has a  wide variety of expertise in developing programs for children, families & communities during her previous work at the University of Kansas. 
She utilizes her past experiences as an educator, program coordinator and researcher to develop educational and fun kids' activities, parenting articles and creative learning ideas. 
Jacquie has been published on numerous educational sites including Kids DISCOVER, the National Park's Foundation blog, PBS Parents, Steve Spangler Science and CWIST.

Ok, so here’s the issue in our house — we’ve got one child who is a math whiz and another who wouldn’t mind if math was wiped off the face of the earth. The one thing they both have in common is neither enjoys any math homework: 

“It’s boring, Mom!”

“Yes, I know.  Worksheets aren’t always the best way to enjoy math.”  But you still need to do your homework. 

This is how it goes for so many things in life, right.  Practice isn’t always as much fun as ‘the real thing’!
