Welcome Summer! We are kicking off summer with a BANG! and bringing you TONS of ideas for summer fun (woohoo!). And since I can’t think of Summer without thinking about the beach, I wanted to pull together some creative ideas for playing, crafting and exploring seashells! 25 Seashell Crafts & Activities We’ve already hit …
Time with the kids is precious.
You really begin to understand this as the kids grow up and especially as those long, relaxing days of summer turn into the more busy back-to-school hours that are beginning this month.
When the kids are born, you have approximately 940 Saturdays together before they fly the coop. Yes, someone somewhere counted up all those days and we get less than a thousand weekends (really not much when you look at it like that, is it).
When they’re young, “The days are long but the years are short” as Gretchen Rubin would say. Then they get older and both the days and the years fly by quickly.
I only have 55 more Saturdays with my oldest.
And here’s what’s been eating at me lately — as the kids get older, their schedule becomes full of things (fun things) that they want to do. BUT (and it’s a big but), they still REALLY need that time with you!
Birthday season is coming for our family.
Well, make that Birthday Season for everyone in my family BUT me.
I celebrated my special day last month – super great day! The kids made me pancakes and I didn’t have to run one errand all day long (now that’s a birthday).
So Spring is my time to focus on creating special days for my family.
Life is busy! Especially at this time of the year — so I will frequently jump on any chance to make things a little easier.
For example, using holiday bags to wrap odd-shaped gifts instead of wrapping paper – much easier!
And bar cookies that you can bake all in one pan – homemade and easy!
Just as portable as my morning coffee but waaay stronger!
So when I found out there was a way I could have wifi for my iPad and computer no matter where I was — Big Score for making life easier!!
