This is why I dislike the Midwest and KC....very little in the way of fun/activities if you don't have kids or don't want to fight crowds of kids to go apple-picking. Sigh...

Hi Tara,
Actually, KCEdventures is a website that focuses on activities for kids and families -- that's why our Fall Event list is so kid-oriented. There are some wonderful places to visit around KC for adults! The drive to St. Joe's is gorgeous and they have some excellent museums. The Plaza will host Wildfire and both the Nelson & Kemper Museums have great exhibits each season. I would also recommend a trip to Powell Observatory in Louisburg for a great view of the stars one evening. If you enjoy hiking, try the trails at either arboretum (we have 2 in town), Burr Oak Woods, Parkville Nature Conservancy and Cave Springs. Enjoy the season!
