Enjoy a day in Japan with musical performances, candy artists, sumo wrestlers, workshops, activities, Bento boxes and much more!  Wonderful cultural experience for the whole family.  Admission charged.


10/5-6 -  Louisburg Ciderfest

Enjoy cider & donuts, watch them press apples to make cider, music and kids activities (activities cost extra).

 

10/6 - Nature Crafts for Kids at the OP Arboretum

Kids can create art with natural items and enjoy fun activities at the Overland Park Arboretum this weekend!  Admission to Arboretum required to attend.

 

10/5-6 - Missouri Town Arts, Crafts & Music Festival

Enjoy special children's games, a craft area, see how sorghum is made and watch costumed interpreters as they celebrate life from the 19th century.  Admission charged.  More details...

Hayrides, petting zoo, pony rides, puppet show, trick-or-treating and lots more fun!  

 

10/13 Int'l Lineman's Rodeo at the Nat'l Ag Center

Spend the day at the National Agriculture Center and enjoy hayrides, train rides and lots of kid's activities!  Admission charged.

 

10/12 - WaterFire at the Country Club Plaza

Enjoy some wonderful music and entertainment as more than 50 bonfires float down Brush Creek.

 

10/13 - Powell Observatory

Spend an evening stargazing and view Year of the Comets at Powell Observatory .  Program begins at 7pm.  Admission charged.

 

10/18-19 - Lenexa Chili Challenge

Lots of yummy fun at Old Town Lenexa with 200 teams competing at this annual chili cook-off!

 

10/19-20 - Boo at the Zoo w/the Kansas City Zoo

A little earlier this year -- Dress up and head out to the Kansas City Zoo for some trick-or-treating and lots of fun with the animals.  Admission charged.

Enjoy an evening stroll through the Enchanted Forest  at Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park.

Trick or treat at local shops from 1 - 3 pm and then watch the Halloween Parade

10/26-27 - Fall Annual Muster at Ft. Osage
